To our way of thinking, orthopaedic mattresses are a basic, no frills extra firm product and as such our HOSKINS Ortho mattress is exactly that. This standard entry-level model features a robust 325 count, open-coil spring unit fully fitted with 3.25 mm (9 swg) wire rod edges and coil-sprung edge supports. All these components are held securely with the elite Hartco-clip system as common with all the HOSKINS range mattresses,

The HOSKINS Ortho mattress’ comfort provision is courtesy of six individual layers of fillings. These fillings include Feltex™ in both needled and polypropylene, stitch-bonded formats plus durable white fibre toppers. HOSKINS Ortho mattresses are carefully upholstered with a traditional wine red and white stripe tick. They also come fully fitted with strong sewn-in handles, central brass air vents and are hand tufted in the traditional manor.

HOSKINS Ortho mattresses utilises 2.45 mm (12.5 swg) spring wire. This offers an extra firm feel when used on firm, un-sprung bases or solid pine slats. A medium-to-firm feel can be achieved depending on what you pair your HOSKINS Ortho mattress with. Partnering with fully sprung divan bases, sprung bedstead bases or when used on laminated-and-sprung Beech slatted bases can achieve this. As such, the HOSKINS Ortho mattress is both firm and affordable.
