The WINFIELD mattress has held court at the top of Sleeping Partners’ range of handmade pocket sprung mattresses for a quarter of a century. In common with many great products, the reason for the WINFIELD mattress’s enduring success is simple: it is virtually unchanged since its conception. The WINFIELD mattress offers quality and luxury allied to supreme levels of comfort; an ever-fixed mark for longevity and sublime comfort.

WINFIELD mattresses, made entirely by hand and as such based around a 1,400 count, individually nested and pocketed spring unit. These pocket springs, overlaid with ten layers of hand laid upholstery pads, allow a regular turning regime. Firstly, a supremely supple hessian backed natural hair pad covers the pocketed springs, in turn these are overlaid with a waxed cambric barrier cloth. Next, four individual layers of American White Cotton felt provide the deep luxurious feel which has become a hallmark of this mattress. Finally, two super soft pure new lambs-wool pads sit directly beneath the WINFIELD mattresses 100% viscous ticking cover.

Tufting by hand with genuine, string-held, wool-ray tufts gives minimal filling movement thus ensuring the larder of natural, virgin fillings provide lasting comfort and a wonderful recipe for deep, rejuvenating, and extremely restful sleep. All WINFIELD mattresses feature three row hand side-stitched borders, flag-stitched handles and brass gauze air-vents. WINFIELD mattresses are available in firmer 1.5 mm spring wire or softer 1.3 mm spring wire.
